Sažetak
Implementation of distributed applications is very important for realizing the main goal of building the information society. Within this framework, distributed processing environments can be implemented using different technologies thus leading to particular intermediary platforms between the network and the application layer denoted middleware. Middleware has an important role as well as a meaning, by providing a specific platform for the realization of more complex services and applications. Some of otherwise manifold aspects of middleware platforms are discussed in this paper.
