Sažetak
Late Jurassic environmental dynamics in the Western Dinaric region that belongs to the NW part of the large Upper Triassic-to-Upper Cretaceous Adriatic-Dinaridic carbonate platform (ADCP) was provoked and controlled by sea-level changes as a consequence of the larger-scale regional tectonic activity (opening of the Dinaric branch of the Tethys). These tectonic movements that took place on the northeastern ADCP margin (rifting processes) created the paleogeography of the Upper Jurassic ADCP by producing the marginal platform and intraplatform synsedimentary tectonic movements and thus considerable influencing the sedimentation. These marginal and inner ADCP synsedimentary tectonics (uplifts and tiltings) produced changes in accomodation space, triggering indirectly the autocyclic processes, producing various types of sedimentary signatures.By comparing the vertical change of facies in the four selected ADCP successions, it is supposed that their evolution represent a response to changes in accomodation space caused by marginal platform and intraplatform synsedimentary tectonics as the indirect reflexion of the larger-scale regional tectonic activity. Thus, the large-scale tectonic movements on the northeastern ADCP margin played a major role in the transition from an early Upper Jurassic toe-of-slope environment to a late Upper Jurassic basinal environment at Sošice. The development of an intraplatform trough at Breze, as well as penecontemporaneus shallowing processes in the Jazvina and Rovinj areas (even with an emersions in the Rovinj area), were probably the opposite intra-ADCP "reflections" of these larger-scale tectonic movements.
