Sažetak
Jurassic carbonates of the coastal Dinarides (External Dinarides) were deposited in the shallow-water platform environments, within the realm of the Adriatic-Dinaric carbonate platform (ADCP). Carbonates of the ADCP crop out in an area extending from the Slovenian Kras, all along the eastern Adriatic coast, covering an area of about 1400 by 350 km. During the Jurassic, the inner platform was characterized by stable and uniform sedimentary conditions, but at the northern and northeastern margin of the platform the rift tectonics had a long-lasting influence on shaping and positioning of the platform-basin boundary. Gradual subsidence along the rift faults caused the migration of platform-basin boundary toward the southwest in an amount of at least 25 km. In this boundary area, marginal platform environments developed ; carbonate sand bodies, reefs and even long-lasting emersions sporadically occurred.
