Sažetak
This paper, although limited in scope, has been trying to analyze development, present state, and perspectives of postgraduate education in the field of business administration in Croatia. Based on the analysis of the history and present characteristics of such programs in Croatia, institutional environment, as well as participants characteristics and attitudes, some conclusions have been drawn about perspectives and tendencies in the future development of postgraduate programs in business administration in Croatia: further and strong expansion of higher education at the postgraduate level is expected ; two separate streams of postgraduate programs (excluding doctoral programs) can be expected to develop - Master and MBA-type programs ; more considerable appearance of 'full-time' programs and stronger 'invasion' of foreign institutions to Croatian 'market' of postgraduate programs in business administration are expected ; 'distance learning' concept and techniques will come into larger use ; there is a strong need to establish a comprehensive system of quality assessment and accreditation of programs ; and finally, teachers trainingand development in general will be of crucial importance for future development and quality of this field of education.
