Sažetak
The paper describes gradual development of the electronic part in the Laboratory for Measurements and Measuring Technique at the Geodetic Department of the Faculty of Geodesy, University of Zagreb. The development of the electronic part started about thirty years ago, i.e. in 1972 when the subject titled "Physical Elements of Geodetic Electronic Instruments" was introduced and several automated measuring methods were developed. The development was further continued by designing and establishing the base line for testing and adjustment of electro optical distance meters in the vicinity of Donja Lomnica and by it connection with the base line in Munich which made the base line of the Faculty of Geodesy in Zagreb as a primary standard of measure in Croatia for measuring the distances up to 3000 m. This development progressed furthermore with the development of more original automated measuring methods and the construction of automated comparator for levelling staves by means of incremented measuring lath. This year the Laboratory was further developed after the device for measuring frequency, and precise total station Leica TC 2003 were bought having measuring uncertainty better than 1 mm at the distances up to 200 m and better than 1 mm + 1 ppm at larger distances. This will enable that the base line of the Faculty of Geodesy in Zagreb is connected every year with some of foreign base line of that sort as it is regulated by the Orders about the Period for New Certification of Primary Standard Measures. Thereby the Laboratory is made appropriate for testing geodetic electro optical distance meters, total electronic stations, digital levels, levelling staves and measuring tapes according to the international ISO standards. An official right to issue official certificates for these instruments should be procured very soon, and they will be acknowledged by the State Institute for Standardisation and Measurement of Croatia.
