Sažetak
In the view of the representation of particular life-forms in the floristic composition of Middle Dalmatia, like in other geographical parts of the Mediterranean, it can be determined therophitic, therophitic-hemicriptophitic, hemicriptophitic-chamephitic, camephitic and phanerophitic associations. In every listed association the share of each particular life form in the biological spectrum has a different role, which is the answer to different ecological conditions. On the primary biotopes, the pioneer associations with very small number of species (for example Suaedo-Salsoletum sodae, Suaedetum maritimae, Salicornietum europaeae) the therophitis prevail. In some more developed associations (like Plantagini-Limonietum cancelati, Juncetum maritimo-acuti, Limonio-Artemisietum coerulescentis, Echinophoro-Elymetum farcti, Phagnalo-Centaureetum ragusinae, Campanulo-Moltkietum petreae) hemicriptophits and chamephits prevail and the presence of therophits prevail among the companions. Within the forestal vegetation /exp. Fraxiono orni-Quercetum ilicis, Ostryo-Quercetum ilicis, Pistacio-Juniperetum phoenicae) the phanerophits and chamephits prevail while the portion of hemicriptophits and geophits is small, the presence of therophits can be ignored. On the secundary, antropogenic biotopes, among the nonforestal vegetational forms (example Brachypodio-Cymbopogonetum hirti, Koelerio-Festucetum illyricae, Stipo-Salvietum officinalis, Carici-Centaureetum rupestris, Saturejo-Caricetum humilis)hemicriptophits and camephits prevail with a considerable part of therophits. Exception are mostly therophitic associations of alliances Vulpio-Lotion. Within the bush vegetation /Erico-Cistetum cretici, Erico-Rosmarinetum) and thorny bushes vegetation (Rhamno-Paliuretum) nanophanerophites and camephits prevail, while hemicriptophites are rare and therophites are present as companions Among weed /ex. Hibisco-Sorghetum halepensis) are ruderal vegetation (ex.Lolio-Plantaginetum commutatae, Lolio-Trifolietum suffocati, Hordeetum leporini)camephits, geophits and phanerophits. Although, some associations (like Lavateretum ruderale) vary from the given patern.
