Sažetak
The paper presents the structure solution for the new porch in front of the existing passenger terminal of the Split Airport in Croatia. Structural membrane extends between structures "trees" in the roof form, constructed from PTFE fabric. Tree-shaped primary support structure is made of steel. Pre-stressed cables form free edges of the membrane. Spatial numerical model incorporates all structural elements (membrane, trees and cables). The structure was modelled with a large displacment finite element stress analysis program based on the stiffness method. The computer program is designed for form finding and stress analysis, using anisotropic membranes, cables and frame elements.
