Sažetak
The aim of the paper is to encourage theoretical debate about the nature, forms, rules and dynamics of the globalisation, especially with the reference to the process of transition. The author questions the very notion of both globalisation and transition, arguing that they are the parts of the same process. However, a distinction is made regarding the modern countries in transition. It is just them that proved the development and globalisation equations did not match. The author analyses the reasons for such an outcome of the transition process, not exclusively in the field of economics but also in the field of cognition. Finally, the meaning of the concept of real convergence is reconsidered, and a new concept suggested.
