Sažetak
Shortly after the publication in 1591, Petrić's "Pancosmia" was referred in two works outside Italy: "De mundo nostro sublunari philosophia nova" (Amsterdam, 1651), the author of which is William Gilbert of Colchester, and Otto Casmann's "Marinarum quaestionum tractatio philosophica bipartita" (Frankfurt, 1596). The Englishman with his philosophy of the earth and the German with his philosophy of the sea represent two distinct types of the early reception of Petrić's natural philosophy in its final version.
