Sažetak
The terms for aerodrome surfaces and their definitions are given and explained in Annex 14 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation. In the Croatian language various terms are often being used for the same concept, either according to different authors or different periods of origin/usage of a particular term. It is necessary to examine the existing variants and suggest more adequate terminology in this area. The authors will analyse the most problematic terms and put forward certain solutions towards establishing unambiguous Croatian terminology for aerodrome surfaces.
