Sažetak
This paper presents some results of an analysis of the Croatian Power System using MESSAGE model. Analysis focused on three main topics: gas supply options, CO2 emission and energy delivery from Nuclear Power Plant Krsko. Planning horizon spreads from 2001 till 2020. We tried to point out some problems which could arise in the future years in terms of security of supply in Croatia, as well as problems in reducing CO2 emission according to Kyoto protocol. This is the first time use of MESSAGE model for the analysis of the Croatian Energy System.
