Sažetak
Among the various conceptions of modernity, one is hard pressed to find one which lacks a subject as its distinctive feature. Without the subject's steady commitment to freedom and mobility, modernity could hardly ever have achieved the well known fluidity of its values. However, faced with the consequences of globalization unleashed in such a manner, we are called upon to retrace a split hidden in the heart of the modernist process of subjection. This essay i san attempt to search for its roots.
