Sažetak
The objective was to determine the efficacy of the programme of sports gymnastics when applied to preschool children. Based on the analysis of the results, the differences in anthropometrical and motor abilities before and after the 6-month programme implementation are determined. The study sample was divided into the experimental and control group and twelve tests were used for measurement purposes. Discriminative analysis of the data shows that after the conduction of the programme, the greatest shift in motor abilities was found in specific tests of motor ability of static strength of arms, balance, coordination and explosive strength of legs.
