Sažetak
The world rocky coasts mostly include a permanent zoning: maritime herbaceous halophytes, seaward ecotone scrub, aerosaline paraclimax rockwoods, and the landward climax forest. Coastal winds and salt storms provoke the different tree deformations: flag-forms in temperate deciduous trees, sabre-shaped crowns in boreal conifers, and horizontal umbellate crowns in sempervirent trees of the subtropical and Mediterranean coasts.
