Sažetak
The first fern psammophytes in sand dunes appeared from the Devonian. The Mesozoic herpetofauna of sandy shores included Geosauria, Rhynchocephalia and Thecodontia. The Paleozoic sea-cliffs included only lichens, snails and arthropodes, in the Mesozoic there nested Pterosaurians and early seabirds (Odontognathae), and their guano colonized the chasmophyte pteridophytes and early gymnosperms.
