Sažetak
The future multi-purpose Danube - Sava Canal, as the basis of the combined waterway - railway traffic corridor of the Danube - Adriatic region, has been long time ago recognized by Croatia as a conductor of the traffic potential between the Central Europe and the Mediterranean. Water management significance of the canal is reflected in improvement of agriculture and development of settlements. The relevant precondition is the successful drainage of the Croatian Danube region with the canal as the main watercourse in the drainage system of the catchment areas of the rivers Biđ, Bosut and Vuka. The main effect of the canal on the agriculture of the region is expected to be achieved from irrigation activities, being the main precondition for the reliable agricultural climatic independent production. This performance is a part of the main catalogue published by the "Croatian Waters" - Water management organisation of the Republic of Croatia. The authors only created the basic material and made this presentation.
