Sažetak
Coastal karst covers 1/5 of world seashoreas. It is frequent and typical in Mediterranean, southern Asia and Central America, but rare or absent in north Europe, Siberia, east Asia, west Americas and Australia. The special features of coastal karst are the rocky lagoons, canyon estuaries, submarine cavernal estuaries (vrulje), coastal waterfalls, and coastal screes with specific floras and faunas.
