In this study the authors expose their first experiences about outbreak of brucelosis, which occured in spring 2000, at surrounding of Mostar. They present the essential clinical and epidemiological features of the disease in order to make an early diagnosis and to start with an adequate medical treatment. The authors also described their experiences in establishing of cantonal staff and their fight against this disease. They emphasize the importance of community education in order to stop spreading of misinformations. Our experience confirm the fact that we need a close cooperation between a health and veterinary servise in the fight against brucelosis. We also need a support of social and political community. There was no complications either death among these patients.
