Sažetak
Ecology and human environment preservation has, in the past few years become one of the most important science research segments. Land pollution issues were first to be solved and now more attention is given to sea pollution. Marine engine is one of the largest air polluters by exhaust gas emission, so several international conventions, regulations and standards, attempt to limit, control and prevent it. In this paper an overview of these emissions is given, ways of measuring, methods and principles of their limitation, and insight in current researches.
