Sažetak
The artistic construction of garments includes the creation of collections following the predeterminated rules in accordance with technological production processes and market demands. Properly constructed garment in placed on a fashion figure with extended proportions, but without deviating from the basic proportions of the structure of the human body, which is based on the study of the plastic anatomy of man. Apart from the stabilisation points, by which human body and fashion figure stand upright, or are in movement, orientation lines on human body, used in the field of medicine, are essential for the artistic construction of garment. Familiarity with the medioclavicular and scapular orientation lines enables the system of a simpler network within the human body for the artistic construction of man and fashion figure to be formed. Garment construction on fashion figure is much easier is we follow the orientation lines as basic lines of the fundamental cut of ladies wear are recognisable in it. Higher and lower pleats within the garment are formed along the orientation lines, depending upon the material the garment is made from. The application of orientation lines on human body in garment artistic construction is being investigated, and further work, especially in the computer application field, will contribute to the improvement of this network system for the fashion figure and garment artistic construction.
