Sažetak
This paper describes a business communication from strategic aspect. In the paper is noticed that the idea of communication strategy in tourism and hospitality industry is taken from strategic management. For an effective communication strategy organisation there is need to consider objectives and credibility of organisation. All activity, including communication tasks, has meaning on more than one level and is performed in a cultural context. There is no aspect of human life that is not touched by culture. Culture influences behaviour in the deepest way. Croatian tourism and hotel management have to understand its environment, especially in cultural context, and it is emphasized in the paper. The globalization process will continue, because tourism is a global business, a world industry without boundaries, open to all changes and improvements. The Republic of Croatia considers tourism as one of its main strategic guidelines of development. However, regarding the available resources, Croatia has not created a product competitive enough on the international market. The international tourism and hospitality industry market is saturated with supply. As for the quality it is a fundamental factor for market survival today. The last part of paper suggests methods for applying the concept of communication strategy on Croatian tourism and hospitality industry.
