Sažetak
The paper focuses on the possibility of more meaningful and faster learning from others, who've attained better or, if possible, the best performance. It pays attention to the informal learning in the context of strategic benchmarking. By strategic benchmarking sharing of explicit and implicit knowledge and, in that way, coming closer the best practice is possible. To follow the changes and to capture the knowledge needed for problem solving, one's willingness to learn continuously, developing of learning capabilities, learning forms, and styles are critical. For that purpose all types of learning should be encouraged: individual and team learning, as well as formal and informal learning. Some experiences with strategic benchmarking and informal learning in Slovenia are included, as well.
