Sažetak
The purpose of this paper is warning on actual problems of free formaldehyde emission in wood based panels (particleboard, fibreboard, plywood board) and in surrounding area too. A limit and methods for determinations of free formaldehyde emission are published in new European standards. The state in adhesive field and in pollution area field is also present. In the paper are emphasised that causes of pollution area must be examined in both: formaldehyde emission from wood materials and formaldehyde emission from non-wood materials. Attention is done to Croatian and Slovenian`s technical regulations and taking over Eurpean standards based on this regulations. Especially attention is done to technical regulations (in keeping with directive European union) that will be obliged in area where could be much possibility for imperilling heath.
