Sažetak
The cracking of pressure vessels (PVs) operating in aggressive media is a very serious problem that may cause leak or break of the PVs with a high risks. The problem has been reported at various international conferences and in literature during past 35 years. This paper discusses crack types detected and reported at various phases of PVs fabrication and service and cracking prevention for higher reliability of PVs. The parameters affecting cracking, the inspection for cracking with NDT methods, the repair procedure of press ure vessels (PVs) and evaluation for higher reliability are also considered.
