Sažetak
The CAD/CAM techniques has significantly contributed to development of new tools, and application of new technologies in design and production of orthoses and prostheses. This paper gives an overview about Modeler &reg ; , CAD/CAM system for design and manufacturing of insoles. It describes the causes and consequences of metatarsalgia, same as the usual treatment for eliminating the pain, and it particularly emphasizes the elements of CAD/CAM system that should enable to insole designer adequate treatment of feet with metatarsalgia. The paper presents Modeler&reg ; , the developed CAD/CAM system, enabling efficient interfacing of all production phases. Modeler&reg ; is developed by applying Open GL and Visual C++, and consist of five modules: &middot ; module for foot scanning and processing of foot images, &middot ; module for receiving and manipulating of input data, &middot ; module for creating, modification and final adjustments of the insole, &middot ; postprocessor, and &middot ; database module.
