Sažetak
The cooling of the steam condenser of the turbine 210 MW at the thermal electric power plant (TE) Plomin 2 is performed by means of seawater. During exploitation, after the condenser first started working, the wear and damage of the cooling tubes was relatively fast due to the seawater. The damage resulted in the occurrence of numerous little holes in the cooling tubes and the leakage of the cooling seawater into the steam condenser, thus causing unscheduled downtimes at the TE. This paper presents the results of the analysis of the damages and leakages of the condenser cooling tubes. The results have shown that the leakage of the cooling seawater is the result of the corrosion and corrosion-erosion wear of the cooling tubes. Measures have been presented to reduce the corrosion wear rate and the leakage of the condenser cooling tubes.
