Sažetak
IKA Field is a multi-pool GAS FIELD located in the southern part of the Northern Adriatic Contract Area. It is situated approximately 50 km WSW of Pula, about 40 km SSE of Ivana field and 6 km NE of Annamaria field (Fig.1). The water depth ranges between 55 m and 60 m. The field was discovered by the J-18/1 well drilled in 1978. From the end of seventies to the second half of the eighties INA-Naftaplin drilled 15 wells (J-18/1, J-18/2, J-18/3, J-18/4, J-18/5, J-18/6, J-18/7, J-18/8 (cluster of five wells), J-18/9, J-18/10, J-18/11, J-18/12, J-18/13, IKA-1, IKA-2) in the zone of the Ika field (Fig.2). The field is divided into three different gas pools according to their structural and sedimentological characteristics. The traps discovered in the sandstone of the Carola Formation are the consequence of differential compaction processes related to the draping of the Plio-pleistocene sediments on the structural highs in the faulted carbonate basement. Structural traps in carbonates, formed during the late Cretaceous are classified as normal faulted massive traps (buried hill type structure). The depth of the reservoirs ranges between 980 m TVDSS and 1465 m TVDSS. The gas is of biogenic origin composed mainly of methane (>99%) with traces of H2S, CO2 and N2. Several studies have been performed to date in order to evaluate production potential of IKA Field. In 1991 INA-Naftaplin performed a reservoir study of the Ika gas field based on the well data and the interpretation of 2D seismic (Ika Gas Field-Reservoir Development Study). The North-West Adriatic Gas Fields Preinvestment Study, performed by AGIP in 1991, has indicated the presence of 21 gas-bearing levels at the IKA gas field. During 1997, the acquisition of the 3D seismic volume was done. The revision of hydrocarbon potential, based on the results of 3D seismic interpretation integrated with the available well data, started in 1997 as a part of the Feasibility study of ANNAMARIA, IDA and IKA Fields, with the main objective to update and to optimize the previous development plan presented in the 1991 Preinvestment Study. The scope of the present reservoir study is to update the previous development plan established by the Feasibility Study of ANNAMARIA, IDA and IKA Fields, according to the geological and dynamic model of the field.
