Sažetak
In the second volume, the author writes about the work of Radio Zagreb and first local stations in Croatia during the dramatic time of World War II and, subsequently, Cold War between two blocks. The book consists of four chapters divided according to crucial political events which essentially marked the work and tasks of broadcasting service in Croatia: - war time in the Nezavisna Država Hrvatska (the Independent State of Croatia) (1941-1945) ; - first three years of communist regime up to the Kominform Resolution and Tito's break with Stalin (1945-1948) ; - two year period, from the breakthrough of the Iron Curtain up to gradual opening to the West, whtn the war with radio-stations of Eastern block got into full swing (1948-1950) - first three years of the second half of the century, when the selfmanangment model of the socialist society structure and Tito's independence politics and gathering of so-called Third World started to get their shape. The book includes a very extensive bibliography of sound, printed, autograph and other history sources studied, a list of many published works on broadcasting in Croatia as well as titles of some more important books on broadcasting and television problems printed abroad (which served the author as the basis for some comparative insights).
