Sažetak
Mosquitoes in the area of Slavonski Brod were collected during 2001 using different methods. Larvae were collected in the city and flooded areas around the city. A higher number of samples in the city indicates that the mosquito fauna that develops in the city is different from the one sampled using methods for adult mosquitoes, where the dominant species are characteristic of flooded areas. Only two generations of flood mosquitoes were enough to infest the city during the entire season. 12 mosquito species were recorded, of which only three were present during the entire season, with different activity peaks. Only 13 times (18, 6%) of the total of 70 samplings using the man-aspirator method for the period of 15 minutes, we counted more than 15 mosquitoes (with the highest number of 56).
