Sažetak
The paper presents the proposed approach to efficient bandwidth allocation for transporting prerecorded MPEG-4 video streams in video on demand applications for third generation wireless networks. The proposed approach is based on video stream scheduling schemes for a new video request received from mobile user. The effectiveness of this approach is evaluated through simulations of bandwidth requirements reduction for MPEG-4 and MPEG_1 video streams.
