Sažetak
At the begining of the last century the development of transport means and traffic network as well as construction of modern traffic routes emphasised the problem of separating traffic flow directions, primarly due to the great number participants and due to the increase in vehicle speeds. This resulted in the development of road markings. Road markings represent one of the most important components of traffic equipment since they asist the drivers in performing one of the most important tasks, and that is visual guidance of drivers so that they can follow the traffic route and thus plan safe movement. The problem of visibility is solved by using retroreflective materials for road markings. This paper analyses the factors which influence the road markings visibility and the evaluation of visibility indicators.
