Sažetak
Globalization has entered in all pores of entire economic, justice, political, cultural and social life of each country. In this globalising terms, today&#8217 ; s models of welfare state are facing significant challenges and changes. We have various welfare states (social states) with various systems of social security and social protection, which, more or less, distribute the national income and intervene in the care for the poor and socially endangered population. However, these states, like all countries around the world, face some problems among which are poverty, inequality, unemployment and high social expenditures. In the conditions of globalization on one side we have qualitative and rich social care systems of highly industrialized countries which had to be reduced, and on the other side the transition countries going through difficult economic crises, which manifested in a great decrease of production, consumption, employment, living and social standard. Therefore, the question is: what kind of transformation of welfare state seeks the process of economy globalisation and what is happening with the welfare state in today's time of globalization? The analyze in this paper will include the different Welfare states, that confronted with new situation, have offered different answers for economic and social changes.
