Sažetak
This report was prepared as a country report for COST A19 project "Children's economic and social welfare in Europe". The report includes an overview of economic and social situation in Croatia, demographic features such as population and family statistics, a review of data and research on children affected by the war, data on poverty and inequality with estimates of child poverty in Croatia. Chapters also include an overview of social security and welfare programmes, basic family policy measures, health protection of children with basic indicators of children's health status as well as an overview of educational system in Croatia. Child rights issues and improvements of legal frameworks to protect children are also discussed.
