Sažetak
The length-weight relationship of 7 735 anchovy, Engraulis encrasicolus (L.), specimens during the study period of five years (1987-1991) can be described by the following equations : W = 0.0038 LT 3.1939 for anchovy from the nursery ground (Novigrad sea), W = 0.0040 LT 3.1195 for anchovy specimens from the coastal waters (Kaštela Bay) and W = 0.0205 LT 2.7078 for anchovy from the offshore waters (Vis and Biševo islands area) of the easten part of the Adriatic Sea. Length-weight relationship was observed by each area and sex, specifically the standard and total length, as well as in relation to the gonad maturity stages.
