Sažetak
Marine riser is a long tubular beam connecting surface vessel or a platform with the wellhead at the seabed. Environmental load modelling and riser system characteristics are presented. Its natural vibration and deformation due to water stream are analysed by an approximate analytical method and by the finite element method. Its motion in rough seas is a nonlinear process. The response of the model of a marine riser in regular waves is analysed as a nonlinear and linearised problem in the time and frequency domain. Numerical procedure by the finite element method is utilized.
