Sažetak
Proper implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) principles leads to better information management, and consecutively higher productivity in construction projects. BIM is an emerging methodology in the world of the built environment. It is a set of processes and standards, supported by digital technologies that aim to enhance information management in every phase of a project. From design and construction, through operations and maintenance, and finally the demolishing phase, BIM has shown advantages over traditional information management processes. Renewable energy is one of the areas which has significant potential, but a low adoption rate of BIM. The objectives of this paper are twofold. Firstly, to introduce the key concepts of BIM methodology to the reader and secondly, to examine them through the lens of renewable energy projects, more specifically, through the framework proposed in the FieldWork 4 RES platform.
