Sažetak
This research aims to analyze the relationship between game-related parameters and league ranking in the Lega Pallavolo Serie A1 a Maschile. The sample consists of 516 matches played between the 2012/13 season and the 2021/22 season, grouped according to the achieved ranking. A statistically significant relationship between game-related parameters and league ranking was established through regression analysis. The obtained algorithm was compared with the placement in the group stage of the 2022/23 season of the 1st men’s Italian A1 Superleague. The results suggest a high correlation between the estimated and actual ranking based on the obtained algorithm.
