Sažetak
The global environmental crisis has reached alarming proportions. However, traditional forms ofenvironmental communication are often unable to persuade the public to adopt pro- environemntalbehavior (PEB). To address this challenge, we introduce a novel green information system (Green IS)designed to improve environmental communication and motivate people to adopt PEBs. The system usesaugmented reality (AR) to simulate environmental issues and is expected to stimulate the naturalemotional response to usually insufficent persuasion. We applied the Design Science Research (DSR)approach to define the design principles and develop the prototype of a green AR-based artifact. Wedemonstrate its potential field use through illustrative scenarios. Next steps in this research projectinclude evaluation of the artifact with different types of users.
