Sažetak
Surgical repair of massive rotator cuff tears can be technically challenging because of retarction of the tendonds, bursal scaring, muscle atrophy and fatty degeneration.The purpose of the study was to quantify the functional outcome fllowing open surgical repair of a massive rotator cuff tears. Satisfactory long-term results can be achived after open repair. Main benefit for the patients is relif of pain and impovment of the shoulder function.
