Sažetak
The topic of information overload is analysed pragmatically and phenomenologically, providing insight into the causes of the phenomenon, possible remedies, and broader implications. The discussion on the broader context touches on more abstract issues that include a discussion on infosphere, the ramifications of the replacement of offline (physical) experience with the reading experience, and the discussion on the relevance of modes of information delivery viewed through the prism of different forms of orality employed on the Internet. Special attention is given to the analysis of information fatigue syndrome. The requirement to educate users in the areas of reading literacy and information literacy is emphasized.
