Sažetak
The new initiative, known as translational research in medicine and translational science in the field of biomedicine, (provides) creates great opportunities in approaching the application of the obtained results and the establishment of targeted research projects, which will generate more effective research and development of new drugs and therapeutic procedures. As part of translational sciences, scientific facts from the laboratory can be "moved" (towards) the clinic very quickly and used in treatment. Likewise, observational studies on patients can be greatly used to design more targeted and effective research procedures. In this context, a new approach to the patient in the form of personalized medicine has been developed with the aim of better prediction, prevention and treatment of diseases, as well as monitoring the patient through (his) daily life. As part of such a (personalized) approach to the patient, an integrative and multidisciplinary approach will result in maximum treatment efficiency and (largely) significantly contribute to the patient's general condition. (In today's time) Today, the approach to the patient has changed and he participates more in the treatment process, and the doctor must know how to approach him and explain the importance of diagnostics and proper therapy in order to achieve the most successful treatment possible. The role of the pharmacist who comes into contact with the patient at the end of the process is crucial here, and therefore the establishment of continuous correspondence between the doctor and the pharmacist is of great importance.
