Sažetak
The initial musicological researches in Croatia dates back around the century and a half. In the same time there are obvious the beginnings of the histotiography of the folk music. Some previous results both on musicological researches and historiography of folk music correspond with the european situation. The main subject of this seminary: mediterranean questions, 19th century historiographical research and Dalmatian - Istrian themes will be treated as much as possible because my contribution was included in last moment. The gender aspect at that time has not been the part, even the occasional subject of the historical thinking and, especially historiographical methods, when we are speaking about music area of the scientific work. But, somehow, female participation in the time of the initial musicological researches in Croatia dates back in the same period. Also, the rare real result of the modern historiography as general brings the gender aspects … I would divide my presentation following that points I just stated above. The first Croatian musicological results were presented by Franjo Ksaver Kuhač (1834-1911) in Zagreb. Kuhač's works were elaborated, published, and even not forgotten in the further periods, - somehow unused in evolutive development of the musicological thinking. The special case happened with the Introductory work (in fact the historical survey of the croatian music history which stayed in manuscript) intended to be "the preludio" to the (published) book on Illyrian composers (1893). That text has become famous a century later (a few years ago) due exclusively to the attention of musicologist Lovro Županović (1994). At the close time both Kuhač and his works have become the subject of intensive musicological interest, the result of which is also the "discovery " of some less known Kuhač's works (printed and in manuscript, as it is Kajdopis ..., Kukuzelj ...) and also of the others authors from the same time. A very detailed analysis made by Kuhač have displayed the basic charasteriscics of, from one side - croatian music, and, from the other – european music.
