Sažetak
The present study provides experimental results of the relative deviations of the gas flow meters that operate using various experimental techniques. The tests were performed with the diaphragm gas meters, ultrasonic gas meters and microthermal gas meters. Measurements were performed within the working range of the measuring devices using several working fluids, i.e. air, argon, nitrogen, helium, natural gas and propane-butane mixture. The scope was to obtain a possible influence of the gas composition variation on experimental results. Measurements were also performed to obtain a functional relation between the gas composition and the systematic deviation of the meters. Preliminary results for ultrasonic gas meters show systematic deviations in the range from -1.5% up to -1.8% when using the natural gas compared to the results obtained using the air. For the microthermal gas meters, the systematic deviation of +1, 5% up to 2, 0% was obtained when using the natural gas compared to results with the air as a working fluid. The results obtained using the microthermal gas meters with other fluids show possible significant systematic errors.
