Sažetak
In this paper the results are presented for a drift of the characteristics of diaphragm domestic gas meters of the same type after operating during certain time in a distribution system. The drift is calculated as a difference of the ratio of adjustable gears in the meter dial. After dismantling the meters from the grid they were tested in the laboratory. During the testing for recalibration the shift in the meter characteristics were registered. Due to this shift, the pair of gears with a modified ratio had to be used. During this procedure, the data about the gears before and after recalibration as well as information of the total amount of gas passed through the meter were registered. These results were presented for two groups of meters. One group is related to the meters, which were installed in the distribution network as new devices. This means that the first verification of the meters were performed by the manufacturer. The second group is related to the meters which were installed in the grid during two recalibration periods. The statistical analysis of the results was performed. The mean value as well as dispersion of the results were presented. The dependence of mean value of the drift on the amount of gas passed through the meters was presented. The results of the analysis show stabilizing trends in the characteristics of the meters. The results also indicate the difference in the reference values of the City Gasworks Zagreb laboratory and the manufacturer data.
