Sažetak
This paper gives data on demographic changes in the structure of the Croatian elderly population, characteristics of the retirees and the participation of the elderly in a labour force. As in many other European countries over the last decades demographic structure of the Croatian population is marked by a increase in the number of old people. It is projected that by the year 2000, more than 13.5 per cent of population of Croatia will be 65 and over.
