Sažetak
The recent advances in AI and digital phenotyping as one of its applied fields (and what it promises for the future) are highly touted by a wide range of private companies and governments alike as a key factor of economic and political power in international competition. This study aims to critically explore the ethical, legal and social challenges that have been identified in the existing literature on the topic from the social sciences and humanities, specifically examining the scientific production from the Global North and South. This paper reports a critical synthesis of studies focused on the ELSI of digital phenotyping in supporting the self-management of patients. We identified relevant literature following the PRISMA-ScR methodology (Tricco et al., 2018), and then discursively explored its impacts and the proposed solutions to identified challenges.
