Sažetak
The focus of this Master’s thesis is a feminist analysis of the representation of female characters in four Disney animated films, with an additional consideration to certain masculine ideologies both social and cultural. This paper explores the meaning behind Disney’s representation of women with a focus on the beauty ideal, femaleness, sexuality, and gender. This paper is a case study of femaleness ; the goal to determine whether or not Disney’s portrayal of women is detrimental or beneficial to the female cause.
