Sažetak
This paper is divided into five main sections – the first two provide insight into the historical events that led to the transformation of the film industry and thus the film narrative, while the last three focus on the films: It Happened One Night (1934), Blonde Venus (1932), and She Done Him Wrong (1933), and their interpretation of female characters. The themes that will be discussed and mentioned in the analysis of all three films are the theme of sexuality, the traditional role of women in society, and censorship.
