Sažetak
Sergio Leone is one of the greatest, yet most criticized film directors of all time, with an unprecedented contribution to the Italian cinema. During his opulent film career, Leone managed to revitalize the stagnant Western genre and establish a new, modified Spaghetti Western genre. In his outstanding “Dollars” trilogy, including A Fistful of Dollars (1964), For a Few Dollars More (1965), and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966), he introduced not only a new type of hero, but also reinvented narrative elements, and presented an innovative way of visual framing, and an unsanitized depiction of violence. Owing to Clint Eastwood's performance as the “Man With No Name, ” Ennio Morricone's etheral soundtrack, along with Leone's directing virtuosity, these films account for some of the best motion picture achievements in the history of Western.
