Sažetak
After pandemic season in 2009/2010, a continuous decrease in flu vaccine coverage was experienced for the six consecutive seasons, largely due to massive negative media coverage. The largest annual decrease was experienced during the 2012 /2013 season. In the season 2018/2019, majority of the vaccine has been used to vaccinate elderly 65+, estimating that vaccine coverage among them reached 29%, which is an increase compared to the last season (23%), but still significantly less than prior the pandemic 2009, when it was around 40% (among 65+), and far from achieving 75% as a goal set long time ago by WHO. After a long time, vaccine coverage has been recently increasing among healthcare workers, reaching 24% (which is still very low). It is difficult to estimate vaccine coverage among persons with chronic diseases as the indication for vaccination may differ significantly.
